Newtown: Skip tests
The Newtown, Conn., school board and the teachers union have requested a waiver to skip this spring’s standardized exams for kids in grades three through eight.
It’s too soon since the massacre of 20 first-graders and six educators at Sandy Hook Elementary last month to administer the Connecticut Mastery Tests, the board pleaded.
