The wife of a Genovese mobster who turned federal informant wants her husband sprung so he can help repair properties of theirs damaged by Hurricane Sandy.

Joseph Caponegro — a former wiseguy who worked for the Genovese family’s North Jersey crew — is believed to be serving a 14-month extortion sentence at a secret facility for government informants.

“We received damage to our shore properties and income properties,” the wife wrote to Brooklyn federal Judge Carol Amon, whose decision is still pending.
