A Manhattan nightlife fixture who once controlled the door at the Beatrice Inn is now in a $4.3 million food fight with his family over their successful Nolita Italian restaurant.
Angelo Bianchi, a former host at the West Village hot spot, used his connections to build buzz for a family eatery called Rubirosa Pizza and Ristorante, which opened in 2010.
During its first year in business, the Mulberry Street eatery raked in more than $5 million in gross revenues, Bianchi says.
In a handshake deal, Bianchi, 37, was promised a 10 percent share on the $25 million venture, but his uncle Giuseppe Pappalardo and cousin Angelo Pappalardo, who invested the startup money, tried to cut his stake to 5 percent, he says in Manhattan Supreme Court filings.
The Pappalardos didn’t return calls seeking comment.
