A New Jersey doctor has a plan to turn a former bank building into a museum to display his massive sports memorabilia collection.

Cardiologist Nicholas DePace says he hopes to have the Collingswood building open to the public within a year.

DePace revealed his plan Wednesday night at a borough zoning board meeting. He would need permission to convert the building, which he bought.

DePace tells The Courier-Post of Cherry Hill that his -sports collection is worth $30 million.

It includes jerseys worn by baseball greats Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb, Paul Hornung’s Heisman Trophy and the marriage certificate for Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe.
