A man was killed in a freak accident this week in a New Jersey parking lot when he tumbled out of his own truck — which then ran him over, according to police.

Walter Mosley Jr., 67, was in the driver’s seat of his Ford F-150 around 12:35 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of the Crystal Plaza Shopping Center in Vineland when he opened the door and fell out, police said.

A preliminary investigation showed that Mosley, of Bridgeton, was run over by the truck and killed.

Responding officers found Mosley on the ground next to his vehicle with “injuries consistent with being run over by the vehicle.” He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said they are unsure why the victim opened the door in the first place.

Cops interviewed a woman who was with Mosley at the time, saying she provided information that was confirmed by video surveillance in the area.

The incident remains under investigation.
