GREENWOOD LAKE, N.Y. — Police in New Jersey believe they’ve found the body of a New York boater who went missing last month.

Authorities began searching for 39-year-old Steven Zaicek after he failed to return to his home in Greenwood Lake, N.Y., about three weeks ago. Zaicek had gone out in his fishing boat in a lake at the New York-New Jersey border. A friend found the boat adrift in the lake with the engine on and no one aboard.

Police believe a body recovered Thursday morning in shallow waters in West Milford, N.J., is Zaicek’s. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday morning.
