NEWARK, NJ — Passengers planning to take the train from New York to a football game or concert at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium can now buy tickets online.

New Jersey Transit is testing online ticketing as a pilot program to see how it works and whether it can be expanded to other rail lines.

Customers can purchase up to eight round-trip tickets online from New York Penn Station to the Meadowlands Sports Complex.
