NEWARK — NJ Transit will continue to cross-honor bus and rail tickets through Friday because of the late-winter storm.

The mass transit agency says powerful winds caused no damage overnight. Buses, trains and light rail lines are operating on or close to schedule Thursday.

Locomotives will be positioned at strategic locations to rapidly respond to disabled trains. Crews are also standing by in case of power outages or downed trees.

NJ Transit passengers will be able to use their rail and bus tickets on alternate travel through the end of the service day Friday.
