NEWARK — NJ Transit bus riders shouldn’t be alarmed if they see an increased police presence at terminals around the state.
Transit police will be more visible there and at garages Wednesday. It’s part of a nationwide counter-terror and criminal deterrence effort called BUSSAFE.
In addition to increased visibility, police in New Jersey will make random baggage inspections at bus terminals and high-volume boarding locations.
