NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. — New Jersey Transit reports it is experiencing delays of up to one hour on the Northeast Corridor Line because a person has been struck by a train at the New Brunswick station.

NJ Transit spokesman Dan Stessel said rail equipment was being moved when a person came off the station platform and was struck around 4:15 p.m.

Stessel said two of the four tracks are back in service, but delays are expected to continue while police investigate.

The condition of the person who was struck was not immediately known.
