NJ tunnel time-saver
The proposed $9 billion Hudson River rail tunnel — temporarily scrapped by Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie — would save Garden State commuters 16 to 30 minutes a day, according to a new study.
The study, by the Regional Plan Association, was unveiled yesterday by tunnel backer Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ).
Christie, after killing the project over its cost, gave it a reprieve on Friday.
