One of Bernard Madoff’s alleged accomplices, Annette Bongiorno, will have to cool her heels at home under house arrest — instead of attending her brother’s Labor Day cookout in Monmouth Junction, NJ, Sunday.
Defense lawyer Diane Ferrone conceded that while Bongiorno will be at a cousin’s Sept. 10 Long Island wedding reception, many of her relatives — including some great-nieces who “are like Annette’s own grandchildren” — won’t be there.
But Manhattan federal Judge George Daniels, without comment, denied Bongiorno’s second bid to get sprung from house arrest.
