Donald Trump skipped voting in New York City primary elections for more than two decades, the city Board of Elections says.

The board says the possible presidential candidate voted in a primary election in 1989, when Rudy Giuliani beat Ronald Lauder, and then didn’t vote in another primary for 21 years. Trump also skipped the 2002 general election, the board says.

But Trump insisted to NY1, which first reported the story, that he’s voted in every general election.

He also threatened the reporter who broke the story: “You’re going to pay a big price because you’re wrong.”
