Long Island Rail Road says normal service is back.

The railroad is operating 143 trains for Friday morning’s rush and 126 trains during the evening commute.

Commuters have had to endure service disruptions since Monday due to a derailment in an East River tunnel.

LIRR says repairs to the damaged track have been completed.

The damage was caused by the derailment of an empty Amtrak train on Sunday.
