Two nurses who scuffled with one of Robert F. Kennedy’s sons say they were just doing their job when they tried to stop him from taking his newborn son off a maternity ward.

Nurses Anna Margaret Lane and Cari Maleman Luciano appeared on NBC “Today” Thursday.

Lane said Douglas Kennedy twisted her arm when she tried to intervene.

She said he told her he didn’t have to obey her because it was his child.

Hospital guidelines forbid a newborn to leave the ward without written permission.

Luciano said Kennedy kicked her and she “went flying through the air.”

Kennedy is charged with child endangerment and harassment.

The Jan. 7 altercation occurred at a hospital in Mount Kisco, N.Y.

The Kennedys’ lawyer accused the nurses of cashing in on his client.
