ALBANY — Responding to growing criticism, Gov. Cuomo yesterday halted state Health Department efforts to restrict summer youth camps from offering such “dangerous” traditional games as Red Rover and kickball.
Cuomo, who grew up in Queens playing such street games as Johnny on the Pony and Ringolevio, told aides the regulations were overly restrictive and insensitive to traditional youth camp and playground activities.
