ELMONT, N.Y. — A Long Island man already facing murder charges in the deaths of his brother and father has now entered a not guilty plea in the killing of his mother.
Dario Ormejuste was ordered held without bail Tuesday at his arraignment. His attorney said Ormejuste has insisted since his arrest in June that he was innocent.
The bodies of Bob Ormejuste, 65, and his son, Guerby, 30, were discovered inside their Elmont home in late June. A relative had gone to the house to check on the family after Guerby Ormejuste failed to appear for work as a New York City correction officer.
Rose Ormejuste’s body was found weeks later inside the trunk of a family car, parked on a street in Brooklyn.
Authorities have not discussed a motive.
