PELHAM, N.Y. — Police say an off-duty policewoman has been charged with drunken driving after another motorist collided with her car while it was stopped and facing the wrong way on a parkway.

Westchester County police spokesman Kieran O’Leary says 29-year-old Officer Jamillah Blair of the New Rochelle force was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident.

O’Leary said the collision occurred about 3 a.m. Tuesday on the Hutchinson River Parkway in Pelham. He said the driver of the wrong-way vehicle fled on foot. Police found Blair by tracing the vehicle to a relative.

The other driver was taken to a hospital but was not seriously hurt, O’Leary said. He said Blair was unhurt.

Blair is due in Pelham Town Court on March 11. No lawyer was listed for her.
