A 74-year-old great-grandmother who fell ill on an American Airlines flight from New York City to Argentina was ignored by crew members who ran out of oxygen, landed in Bolivia and left her, her family charges.
Alicia Marassa died three weeks later.
It was a trip Marassa had made several times, but on Dec. 6, 2008, she got sick aboard the plane and it took the crew up to two hours to realize something was wrong.
The family is suing the airline in Bronx Supreme Court. American Airlines declined to comment about the allegations.
