New York voters continue to give Gov. Cuomo strong support, want the state budget balanced without new taxes and are increasingly open to firing state workers, a new poll showed yesterday.
The Quinnipiac University survey found Cuomo enjoying a 56 percent approval rating. On budget issues, voters favored program cuts to higher taxes (55-30 percent) and slightly opposed firing state workers (48-46 percent).
