SELDEN, N.Y.— A 31-year-old man is accused of forcibly touching a woman pushing a baby stroller along a Long Island street.
Suffolk County police say it happened at 9:15 p.m. Sunday in Selden.
They say the suspect approached the woman from behind, violently grabbed her chest and backside, clamped his hand over her mouth and tried to steal her cell phone. The woman screamed and he fled. She then called 911 and police located the suspect nearby.
They identified him as Aquilino Villatoro of Selden. He was charged with forcible touching, endangering the welfare of a child and attempted grand larceny. The 33 -year-old defendant is set to be arraigned Monday. It’s not immediately clear if he had a lawyer.
The woman’s seven-month-old baby was not hurt.
