A Long Island tree trimmer is in critical condition after coming in contact with a high-voltage power line.

Nassau County police say the 44-year-old man was working in the yard of a Glen Head home on Monday afternoon when the accident occurred.

Newsday says he suffered serious burns to his body.

Glenwood Fire Department volunteers removed the man from the tree. A police helicopter transported him to a hospital.
