A man convicted of murdering one person, wounding two others, and shooting at two police officers will spend 35 years to life in prison.

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. announced the sentence Friday for Daniel Israel.

Vance said a small street dispute escalated into deadly violence when Israel fired repeatedly into a crowd in June 2007.

The bloodshed in upper Manhattan claimed the life of Warren Justin Dandridge.

The father and subway conductor was 26 years old.
