YONKERS, N.Y. — Investigators say they have a suspect in the Westchester County strangulation deaths of three women in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Yonkers Deputy Chief William Cave says police are “very confident” they’ll be making an arrest. But it’s not clear when.

The victims were Maria Ramos and Tawanda Hodges, both of the Bronx, and Kimberly Moore of the Town of Greenburgh.

Detective John Geiss of the Yonkers Cold Case Squad has worked on the case for a decade. Before that, four other detectives interviewed thousands of witnesses.
