ALBANY — Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver says New York will soon have as many as seven new casinos, a larger DNA database to fight crime and exonerate the innocent, and a less expensive pension for future public workers.

Silver says the measures are part of deals struck with the Senate’s Republican majority and Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

The proposals have been part of a multi-faceted deal that involves approving new election district lines for the next 10 years and the remaining elements of the 2012-13 state budget.

Cuomo is pushing for the constitutional amendment that would pave the way for up to seven casinos off Indian land.

Cuomo has also sought the pension change to save the rising employer costs paid by local and state governments.
