IRVING, N.Y. — State police say a New York woman faces numerous charges after trying to ram another woman’s car off a 100-foot cliff on the Cattaraugus (kat-uh-RAW’-gus) Indian Reservation.

Troopers say 36-year-old Vicki Bennett of Irving first punched the 26-year-old woman as she slept in a parked car on the rural western New York reservation about 1 p.m. Sunday. Then she got into her own car and repeatedly rammed the parked vehicle, pushing it 68 feet toward a cliff until it became lodged against a tree.

Bennett is in jail in Buffalo after being arraigned in Collins Town Court on felony reckless endangerment and criminal mischief charges, as well as DWI, menacing and other misdemeanors.

She doesn’t have a lawyer yet and is scheduled to return to court Thursday.
