NY1 gal’s intern-al conflict
She’s just full of herself.
That’s what lawyers for NY1 claimed yesterday in the sexual-harassment suit of former anchor Adele Sammarco.
While Sammarco’s therapist testified that she suffered greatly at the hands of her male co-workers — losing weight and suffering migraines, depression and nightmares — the station’s lawyer, Bettina Plevin, argued that a more fitting explanation for the journalist’s troubles would be “narcissistic personality disorder.”
The defense submitted several of Sammarco’s ranting e-mails into evidence, claiming they show she was more a prima donna than professional.
She once scolded News Manager Steve Paulus, a defendant in the case, for having her help out the interns.
“WHY ARE THESE KIDS JUMPING INTO THE POOL WITHOUT TAKING SWIMMING LESSONS FIRST,” she wrote to Paulus.
