A 9-year-old child was struck in the head by a BB gun while sitting on a bench in Brooklyn on Tuesday, police said.

The young girl was sitting on a bench alongside her grandmother outside the Seth Low Houses in Brownsville when the round hit her head around 5:40 p.m., police and sources said.

The child was brought to Brookdale University Hospital in stable condition.

The public housing development abuts Brooklyn’s 75th Precinct, which has tallied the greatest number of shootings of all precincts throughout the five boroughs this year.
