New York City’s comics museum has closed its doors while it plans its future.

The Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art closed to the public on Monday, the Wall Street Journal reported. It will move out of its SoHo location by the end of the month.

Museum chair and president Ellen Abramowitz promised that the museum will continue to exist. She said the 10-year-old museum will announce its plans in the near future.

She said it has been difficult to find individual donors. The museum’s largest fundraiser is its annual festival.

Past exhibitions have included a retrospective of Stan Lee and a look at Harvey Comics.
