A deli worker was shot in the head and killed during a robbery gone wrong in Brooklyn Tuesday night, police said.

The slaying happened just after 7:30 p.m. at the deli at 703 Flatbush Ave. — where the suspect displayed a gun as he went behind the counter, cops said.

The gunman demanded money from the clerk, Fadhl Moosa, but he refused and a struggle ensued, according to cops.

Moosa was blasted in the head during the fight, according to police.

Responding officers found him behind the counter, lying face down in a pool of blood, authorities said.

EMS pronounced him dead at the scene, authorities said.

No one was in custody as of Wednesday morning, cops said.
