A New York City doctor working on the frontlines to battle the coronavirus says the situation at her hospital has become so “scary” that she doesn’t know if she’ll live to see her fall nuptials, according to a report.

Dr. Deena Elkafrawi, 30, said that she feels like she’s in a “bloodless war” while working at Lincoln Medical Center in The Bronx, Metro UK reported.

“It’s heartbreaking. We all want to help the patients but there is no treatment,” she told the outlet.

She said that she’s considered that she could die from the virus if she contracts it from one of her patients.

“Going to work is very scary at the minute,” Elkafrawi said. “It has crossed my mind that I don’t know if I’ll survive this long enough to get to my wedding.”

Elkafrawi said that her fiance, Richard Bayley — who she’s set to marry in October — is “worried sick” about her when she goes to work in the hotspot.

“He calls me every day and is really concerned about me. But it means a lot to know he cares so much,” she said.

The number of confirmed cases in the Big Apple eclipsed 51,000 on Thursday with more than 90,000 total throughout the state.
