Video obtained by The Post shows a woman and two little girls scrambling for cover as a gunman fires at police officers and then runs toward the trio in the Bronx Friday night.
The video shows the woman walking with two little girls and a man before snatching the smallest child from the sidewalk to get away from the gunfire near East 174th Street and Vyse Avenue around 7:40 p.m.
All four of them run as the gunman, who was wearing a gray sweatshirt, sprints it in their direction.
The armed man then runs around a corner out of view as police chase him with their guns drawn.

Anthony Gomez, 32, was arrested and charged with five counts of attempted murder and three counts of criminal possession of a weapon, according to police. He was awaiting arraignment Saturday night.
He has five prior arrests, including robbery in 2015 and drugs in 2012. He was also charged with firearm possession, felony assault and grand larceny in 2010, police sources said.
A resident who watched the video said the shooting happened in front of 1680 Vyse Avenue and that the gunman and family ran into the building’s courtyard. She said she didn’t think the family lives in the building.
“I think they got caught in the middle and couldn’t get inside,” said the woman, who asked to remain anonymous out of fear for her safety. “It’s probably why the police didn’t shoot back.”
Another resident said she feared for her safety.
“Recent dangers in the neighborhood and the subway have been very overwhelming,” the woman, who also asked not to be named, said. “There’s so much to be fearful of.”
