Snow day!
Kids celebrated and parents sighed Wednesday night after Mayor de Blasio announced the closure of city schools Thursday on Twitter.
Citing an expected snowstorm, de Blasio officially shuttered the system at 6:30 p.m.
“Due to expected significant snowfall all @nycschools will be CLOSED tomorrow, Feb. 9,” de Blasio announced.
The boroughs are expected to get pelted with six to ten inches of February powder Thursday.
