The Big Apple is baking — but not for long.
The city’s first heat wave of the year is supposed to peter out Tuesday with one final day in the 90s to cap a three-day long scorcher.
AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Carl Erickson said Tuesday may reach a high of 95, but a cold front will move in during the evening commute that will drop temperatures closer to the June average of 79.
A high of 83 degrees is expected on Wednesday.
Erickson said the cold front will also bring in a brief thunderstorm that will last from the late afternoon until about midnight on Wednesday.
Thursday is expected to be even cooler with a high of 76 degrees and a low of 55.
