A Brooklyn man found lying “in a pool of blood” in bed may have been bludgeoned in the head with a hammer found in his home, law enforcement sources said Thursday — as police officials announced they’re looking to speak to his roommates in connection to the murder case.

James Hudley, 53, was discovered face down on his bed with trauma to his head, inside his apartment on Hinsdale Street near Linden Boulevard around 11 a.m. Wednesday, cops said.

His body was decomposed, and it appeared he had been dead for several days, sources said.

A bloody hammer was found in the apartment, according to the sources.

The NYPD confirmed Thursday morning that Hudley’s death has been deemed a homicide.

While cops haven’t named any suspects, NYPD Chief of Detectives James Essig said investigators are “looking to talk to the roommates.”

Hudley had more than one roommate, the police official said.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
