NEWARK, N.J. — A Brooklyn man has admitted his role in the armed robbery of a northern New Jersey perfume warehouse earlier this year.
Thirty-two-year-old Luis Morales pleaded guilty Wednesday to a federal complaint charging him with conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
He faces up to 20 years in prison and $250,000 in fines when he’s sentenced Aug. 30, although the actual sentence is likely to be less under federal sentencing guidelines.
Prosecutors say Morales was among a group of robbers who entered the Carlstadt warehouse on Feb. 9 and held 11 employees hostage. About $600,000 worth of perfume was stolen.
Morales is the sixth person to plead guilty in the case.
