A man was struck and killed by a truck that fled the scene in front of the Port Authority bus station Thursday night.

The 58-year-old victim was crossing 41st Street and 8th Avenue in Manhattan just before 9 p.m. when he was hit by the vehicle that hit him, according to police.

EMS workers responded to a 911 call for a man lying in the roadway.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck was not at the scene of the incident and police were searching for the driver on Thursday night.

The victim’s name was not released.
