An out-of-control driver struck and killed a man waiting for the bus near the Staten Island Mall early Monday, cops said. 

The 40-year-old victim got rammed into as he stood near the MTA bus stop at Ring Road and Platinum Avenue around 12:30 a.m., authorities and sources said.

The driver, a 51-year-old man, was behind the wheel of a white Nissan Pathfinder SUV when he lost control, mounting the sidewalk and careening into the pedestrian.

The victim was taken to Staten Island University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.

The driver stayed at the scene. No charges had been filed against him hours later. 

The victim’s name was not immediately released, pending family notification.

The NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad was probing the crash.
