A 60-year-old straphanger was killed when he stumbled backward after getting off the subway in Queens — and the train hit him as it left the station, cops said Sunday.

The man had just disembarked from an E train at the Jamaica-Van Wyck Station around 11:30 p.m. Saturday and was on the platform when he stumbled onto the tracks. The train then struck him in his head as it left the station.

The man, whose identity wasn’t immediately released, was taken to Jamaica Hospital but couldn’t be saved, police said. It was unclear what caused him to stumble, a police spokeswoman said.
