A 20-year-old man was shot in the chest Friday while riding his scooter on Randall’s Island, police said.
The victim was shot in the Icahn Stadium parking lot located beneath the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge at 8:30 p.m.
Police believe he was riding the scooter through the area when he was struck by gunfire.
He was rushed to Harlem Hospital and is expected to survive.
