A 62-year-old man was critically hurt when a drunk driver lost control of his BMW and slammed into him as he waited for a bus on the Lower East Side late Thursday, cops said.

The victim was sitting inside an MTA bus shelter at Grand and Lewis Streets just before 11 p.m. when 26-year-old Cristian Bueno — wearing a shirt emblazoned with the word “Shipwrecked” — lost control of a 2017 white BMW and mounted the curb, striking him, authorities said.

Then the BMW crashed through the shelter before striking a black fence and coming to a stop, according to cops and photos from the scene.
