Saudi Arabia stiffed a Manhattan real estate broker on a hefty commission, according to a lawsuit.
Salem Advisory LLC spent two years helping the kingdom’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations find office space at 866 United Nations Plaza, according to court papers.
Despite securing four units for the mission at more than $59 million, the mission never ponied up Salem’s 1% commission, Salem said in a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit seeking the $592,000 payment.
“There was no explanation whatsoever, even though the parties had been working together for quite some period of time,” Salem’s lawyer, Ethan Kobre, said.
Saudi Arabian officials did not respond to messages.
