Look what Paris Hilton has unleashed — California’s animal shelters are flooded with abandoned Chihuahuas.

The good news is that the Big Apple’s ASPCA hopes to bring some of the tiny pooches here to find homes.

At some California shelters, Chihuahuas make up 30 percent of the dog population. Experts say pop culture is partly to blame. Fans took cues from Chihuahua-owning celebs like Paris Hilton and Miley Cyrus and movies like “Beverly Hills Chihuahua.” But then people abandoned the pets.

Here, on the other hand, “We do not have enough small dogs to satisfy consumer demand,” Gail Buchwald, a senior vice president at the ASPCA adoption center in New York City, told The Post.

“For us this is a great opportunity,” she said. “We are in conversations with some of the folks in California . . . to see what we can do to help the dogs by bringing some of them here for adoption.”
