Mayor Bill de Blasio canceled school in the Big Apple for Wednesday ahead of a spring nor’easter that is expected to dump up to 15 inches of snow on the city.
De Blasio acknowledged the storm could be far less severe than predicted, but said he didn’t want to take any chances.
Hizzoner said to prepare for heavy bands of snow that could fall at a rate of 1-2 inches per hour, and even as high as 3 per hour.
Alternate-side parking is also suspended on Wednesday.
