A city schools investigator says he was denied a promotion because of his race, and was subjected to anti-Asian slurs.

Thomas Chin claims in his Manhattan federal suit that his bosses at the Special Commissioner of Investigation’s Office routinely passed him over, despite a stellar track record of investigating sexual-abuse cases involving students.

He claims at least one colleague regularly slammed Asian Americans with racial slurs.

He is seeking unspecified damages. The SCI office declined to comment.
