A teenager was shot to death at a New York City Housing Authority complex in Brooklyn Tuesday evening, cops said.

Javel Lawton, 15, was found with a single gunshot wound to the torso around 9 p.m. outside building eight of the Bay View Houses in Canarsie.

He was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The gunman was still on the run, said police.

Lawton lived nearly three miles from the scene, in the Remsen Village neighborhood, cops said. 

Investigators were combing through surveillance video and trying to find witnesses, law enforcement sources said.

The motive for the deadly violence — the second homicide of 2024 — remained under investigation Wednesday morning.
