A 49-year-old street vendor was stabbed in Midtown Sunday night during a fight with a knife-wielding thief, sources said.
The victim was injured at around 7 p.m. when a man stole a handbag and attempted to flee the scene at West 50th Street and Broadway, according to police.

The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital and listed in stable condition.
