A New York City high school teacher has been busted for having seven pounds of the potent date rape drug GHB to his apartment, according to authorities.
Steven Rich, 51, who works at Harlem’s Thurgood Marshall Academy, was cuffed when cops raided his Hell’s Kitchen apartment early Tuesday, police said.
He had enough of the liquid narcotic to rise to a felony charge, said cops.
Rich made a brief appearance in Manhattan Criminal Court on Wednesday night. He wore a dark Puma t-shirt, bright green track jacket, purple track pants and Adidas running shoes.
The suspect was given supervised release.
He declined to comment as he left court with a bandana covering his face.
Rich is due back in court on April 3.
