Mylah Rojas suffered a fractured skull from the maniac moped driver. J.C. Rice“It was a regular day. We was just coming out the building, and the scooter just came out of nowhere, so fast, and he just hit her and took her a couple of feet away,” Mylah’s distraught mother, Mariel Rojas, told The Post Saturday.
“I was so shocked that I didn’t realize [at first] that [the moped driver] had left the scene. I was just concentrating on my daughter,” she said.
The girl “was bleeding, blood was everywhere, she had a split in her forehead,” Rojas continued.
Mylah, who is being treated for brain bleeding at Jacobi Medical Center, also has a fracture in her left eye, which is swollen shut, according to her mom.
“It’s something you don’t imagine happening ever. You just pray,” she said.
Mylah is doing “a little better today,” her mother said.
The little girl, who has a unicorn balloon tied to her hospital bed, is “talking, she’s sitting up, she’s coloring. … She’s active, but then she complains of her eye being closed shut. She’s in a lot of pain.”
The family doesn’t know how long Mylah will be hospitalized.
