Hundreds of Upper West Side residents were plunged into darkness early Monday when a transformer fire blew out the area’s power supply, according to officials.

The blaze broke out around 1:50 a.m. near the intersection of West 108th Street and Central Park West, the FDNY said.

Dozens of firefighters were sent in and knocked down the flames by 3:15 a.m. without any reported injuries, but several area families woke up to find their power out.

Some 520 Con Edison customers near the intersection were without power as of 11 a.m., according to the company’s online outage tracker.

It’s expected that service will be restored to those customers by 3 p.m.
